The Brew CD Release Marks 16 Years at 75th Street Brewery
KANSAS CITY, MO – Live music is hard wired into the DNA. It is the most recognizable part of K.C. history. Does the world most associate the president Harry Truman or the sax player Charlie Parker with Kansas City? You know. The music is the flow of life. There are so many restaurants and bars that have live music. It is how business is done in Kansas City.
75th Street Brewery was opened in 1994 by K.C.HOPPS . It was Kansas City’s first brew pub. They made the beer and cooked the food on site. They added a live music show on Sunday that same year. 16 years later, the show is still filling the house every Sunday.
The band is called The Brew. The members, Mark Valentine, Andy DeWitt, Ray DiMarchi and Terry Swope are some of the busiest musicians in the scene. Presidents Day weekend will be the release of their 10th CD. Mark Valentine, founding member says, “We all play in different bands and venues. I always look forward to having a musical conversation with these cats every Sunday. Somebody will always surprise me.”
Sunday February 14, The Brew will have its 16th Anniversary at 75th Street Brewery. The show always starts at 8p. 800 Sundays is the 10th CD from The Brew. If you are not a fan, you will be someday.
