Contributing writer
Born and raised on a farm in northeast Kentucky, I am a transplant to Kansas via the military and have lived in the state for 28 years. My husband and I, along with our dog and two cats, live on a farm north of Randolph. I have dappled in writing for several years, however, it has only been within the past few years that I have been published. A book I co-wrote with Kelly Alexander titled Hometown Appetites: The Story of Clementine Paddleford, the Forgotten Food Writer Who Chronicled How America Ate was published by Gotham in 2008 and made the 2009 Kansas Notable Book List. This was awesome for a first time book writer. I am a contributing author to the ‘EYE On Kansas’ Regional online magazine and a contributing author to K-State Agronomy: A Century Remembered, 1906-2006 (Manhattan, KS: Kansas State University Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service, 2006). My day job finds me in the Department of Special Collections at Hale Library, Kansas State University processing manuscripts and collections.
