WHY DO I WRITE

I write when I feel the need

I write to plant a new seed

I write when the world’s in despair

I write when nobody’s there

I write to let my spirit run free

I write just ‘cause that’s me

I write to build a raging fire

I write so dreams can transpire

I write to give others hope

I write when I just can’t cope

I write when I just don’t fit in

I write when I feel him skin to skin

I write so you can feel my heart beat

I write to knock you off your feet

I write when I’m at my best

I write when you could care less

I’ll bleed the ink of my soul to you

I write because you want me to

I’ll send lyrics to you for a song

I’ll make magic if things go wrong

I’ll let you take a piece of my heart

Cause I’ll write till death do us part

Pen to pen, hand in hand

Just ask me if you don’t understand
