About Katsy Redstar
Katsy Redstar was born and raised in Cologne, Germany. He has spent years of his life traveling all over North America visiting important music spots in Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans.
Originally Katsy learned to play Spanish Flamenco guitar during the 80ties and did joint concerts and television broadcasts together with his guitar-master Armin Backer, e.g. on SWF TV.
During the 90ties, Katsy played electric guitar for semi-professional independent and alternative rock bands, like In Fear Of Fear, Tusk, Granny Smith and Rip Torn. Starting in 2004 Katsy turned back to acoustic guitar and introspective songwriter music. Initially influenced by classic country and songwriter stuff, like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson, Katsy was fascinated by the alternative country & songwriter music movement. He would see himself influenced by Larry Jon Wilson, David Allen Coe, Guy Clark, Towns van Zandt and Steve Earle.
Today Katsy lives in Hoffenheim, Germany, with his wife Suse, his two kids Elvis & Merlin and Gati the cat. Watch for an exclusive interview in the future.

ANNOUNCE TOURING LINEUP
New York, NY: Times of Grace are excited to announce that they have solidified the touring lineup for their forthcoming debut tour this February. The core of the band is Jesse Leach on vocals and Adam Dutkiewicz on guitars/vocals, and they will be supported by guitarist Joel Stroetzel, bassist Daniel Struble and drummer Dan Gluszak.
Stroetzel is a familiar name to Times of Grace fans, as he is also guitarist for Killswitch Engage, alongside Adam D., and is an original member who played with Leach while he was singing in KsE. Stroetzel’s involvement in Times of Grace was a happy accident, as he assisted his former and current bandmates when they recorded acoustic performances for iTunes and SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal late last year. Times of Grace were on the hunt for a live guitarist and Stroetzel just clicked, so he decided to once again pitch in for his friends and act as their touring guitarist. Struble is the former singer of Five Pointe O, a long ago labelmate of KsE, while Gluszak is the former drummer of Envy on the Coast.
“I am honored to work with such quality people and solid musicians and I can already see the synergy developing and it is very exciting. I truly feel blessed,” Leach said about the touring lineup.
Times of Grace will embark on their first tour on February 1st in Baltimore and wrap on February 27th in Boston. The band’s tour itinerary is as follows.

BURBANK, CA–(Marketwire – January 31, 2011) – Fresh off their well-attended month-long residency at Club Spaceland in Silverlake, Los Angeles band The Belle Brigade, fronted by siblings Barbara and Ethan Gruska, will hit the road for a series of spring U.S. tour dates in support of their upcoming self-titled debut album, which will be released by Reprise Records on April 19th, 2011. The band’s single “Losers” will be available from all digital retailers beginning February 1st.
The duo, backed by their talented band (bassist Keith Karmen, keyboardist Aaron Arntz, electric guitarist Harlan Silverman, and drummer Mike Green), will open four shows for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals in February and March, followed by a series of dates opening for G. Inspired by Barbara and Ethan’s love for Fleetwood Mac, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, and Stevie Wonder, The Belle Brigade’s debut album is chock-full of artfully arranged, freewheeling songs brimming with breezy, California melodies and bracing pop harmonies, fueled by the driving rhythms Barbara plays on drums. A longtime fixture on the Los Angeles music scene, Barbara is a sought-after live drummer who toured with Inara George and Jenny Lewis, among others, before she picked up a guitar and formed the band with her singer-songwriter younger brother Ethan two years ago. FIRST SINGLE, “STEAL YOUR HEART,” GOES TO RADIO FEBRUARY 14TH
February 1, 2011 — Los Angeles, CA — Augustana will release their eagerly awaited self-titled third album for Epic Records on April 26th, 2011. The first single from the album, “Steal Your Heart,” will go to radio on February 14th. The band, which is fronted by vocalist/lyricist Daniel Layus, recorded the album in Los Angeles with Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer Jacquire King, who is known for his work with Kings of Leon and Norah Jones, among others.
“The creative and musical progression of this record feels like the most true expression of who this band is in its most basic form,” said Layus. “We worked really hard to bring the sound to a new frontier, but not so far that it lost that sense of organic sensibility.”
The album delivers on the emotionally resonant, rootsy pop/rock that Augustana have become known for since launching themselves onto the scene with their major-label debut, 2005’s All The Stars and Boulevards. The album reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. It also spawned two Top 40 hits, “Stars and Boulevards” and “Boston,” which was certified digital platinum. February 2, 2011 — Burbank, CA — Singer-songwriter Jason Reeves will premiere his new single, “Sticks & Stones,” on AOL’s PopEater [www.popeater.com]. The track, which will be available for purchase from all digital retailers on February 15th, is taken from Reeves’ upcoming new album, The Lovesick, which is due for release this summer on Warner Bros. Records.
Jason wrote “Sticks & Stones” with Danelle Leverett (the JaneDear Girls) and Jordan Lawhead. “It’s a twisted take on a classic children’s rhyme,” Reeves says. “It’s strength and defiance in the face of a lover’s disintegration. It’s armor for a fragile heart and an anthem for the breaking unbroken.”
The Lovesick was produced by Adam Smith and features Reeves’ songwriting collaborations with Kara DioGuardi, who, as WBR’s Senior Vice President of A&R, signed Reeves to the label, and Reeves’ frequent collaborator, singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat. Reeves co-wrote 10 tracks on Caillat’s platinum debut album Coco, including the smash hit singles “Bubbly” and “Realize,” as well as 10 tracks on the deluxe edition of her album Breakthrough.
Of another track on The Lovesick, “Helium Hearts,” Billboard noted that it “is nicely designed to make girls swoon and solidly position Reeves as a solo artist.” The magazine also raved that Reeves’ “melodic voice carries a hint of Bob Dylan.”
The 26-year-old Iowa City native has toured for the past few years in support of his debut album, The Magnificent Adventures of Heartache (and Other Frightening Tales, which was released by Warner Bros. Records after selling briskly as an independent release in 2007 through Reeves’ MySpace page. The album’s hook-filled songs of love, hope, heartbreak, and renewal, matched with Reeves’ engaging tenor voice, led iTunes to name Reeves one of the Top Indie Singer-Songwriters of 2007.
Reeves will perform three shows in February, at The Hub in Cedar Falls, IA, on the 17th, at The Maintenance Shop in Ames, IA, on the 18th, and at Space in Evanston, IL, on the 19th, followed by a radio promo tour in March with dates to be announced.

Indie rock band Exit 451 with a mesmerizing twist releases their second single “You Exist” from their debut album The Sea Above The Sky and is hosting an open call to all filmmakers for the creation of the track’s official music video. Montreal, Canada’s trio, consisting of brothers Alain (guitars, piano, keyboards, arrangements) and Martin Avon (bass, arrangements) and lyricist/vocalist JP Alepins, is asking for the initial entries to create a short synopsis for the music video treatment and email that idea to info@exit451.ca by the contest’s February 14, 2011 deadline.
The more creative and unique ideas the better, as the video concept can be entered to be completed in various formats such as, short film, animation, montage, etc. The band will pick three finalists, who will be sent a WAV file of the track and a future deadline for the video to be created, edited and compressed for web. Exit 451 recorded their album at The Bank Studio 451, the band’s own state-of- the- art recording studio in downtown Montreal. The studio was originally a bank that they remodeled in 2004.
