Wake The Dead Rock & Metal Festival III
Wake the Dead Rock & Metal Festival was created by Tom Smalling of the band “Beneath The Burning Sun” in 2008. The event originated as a means for the Band to debut their orignal EP, and earn some new fans along with all the other bands that were invited to play. The first years event was held at the AT&T arena on the Kansas State Fairgrounds, Oct. 18,2008. The event moved indoors for Wake The Dead Fest II at the Bison Arena on the Kansas State Fairgrounds, Oct. 10,2009. Wake The Dead Fest III will also be indoors the Bison Arena this year Oct. 09,2010.
The event is an opportunity for up & coming bands from Kansas to perform in a large venue and display their own unique musical talent. The bands that perform come to welcome new fans. They really put on the best big stage show that their fans and friends have ever seen!
This years headlining act!
Wake The Dead Fest III Headliner Vintage Burning! The band has recently been signed by Dirtbag/ILG/Warner and will be touring Nationally supporting their new cd ”Distrubing the Balance”.
This is a Metal band with a female lead singer Amy Kroning whose powerful voice you won’t forget!
The rest of band consists of Jason Thompson guitar player/vocals, Korey Butler drums, and Mickey Klawitter bass. They bring a high energy perfofmance to every show that will entertain and trill you!
