AFRESH:What got this band together and started in this business?

Bunch of guys tired of the same old Scene. We play cover tunes as well as originals. We would go out and hear cover bands doin the same old shit and we were like lets play newer music instead of Freebird or Mustang Sally… So we did and it goes over great.

AFRESH:Who writes and produces all the material for the band?

Every member of the band does their part

AFRESH:The band played in front of or with any acts our readers would know from the Mainstream?
NOt with Shyner but myprevious bands have opened for some big acts such as ZZTop, Molly Hatchet, Skid Row, 38 Special among others

AFRESH:Where can people access your music on the web? or

AFRESH:Any embarrassing moments on stage?
Strap coming off bass and it slamming to the floor in front of 10000 people.

AFRESH:Any good stories you want to tell us?
Stories from the road can go on forever. Theres just so many to pick one.

AFRESH:Who is the bands musical influence?
Godsmack, Shinedown, Metallica, Kiss, another one I could go on forever

AFRESH:How did the band get together?

Bunch of guys wanting to do something different besides the same old tunes.

AFRESH:What is your musical background like? I have been playing guitar and bass for over 20 years…. From Death Metal to Country to Southern Rock

AFRESH:Any other members in your family that are musicians?
My sister sings like an angel

AFRESH:What is the TOP reason why you want to play music?

Because I love music and how the crowd makes me feel on stage. Better than any drug ever.

Im a firm believer in buying a bands CD… If its something old and you need a copy download it.
AFRESH: How do you get the word out about your music?
Lots of Street hitting promotion…. My space and radio ads

AFRESH: How is your local response to your music?
Awesome we have had the cops out almost everytime because too many people were in the building. You gotta love that.

Coast to Coast

AFRESH: Describe your band in 3 words

AFRESH:How do you think times like the economic recession is affecting musicians like yourself?
NOt as many people going out on the weekends. Not as many buying music. It hurts everyone the same. Not just musicians.

MOst of it are songs that they have requested we play.

AFRESH:How do you think your band will affect the music scene?
Hopefully positively… Cant we all just get along

AFRESH:What is the toughest lesson you ever learned in the studio and on the stage?
NOt everything comes out perfect no matter how much you practice it.

AFRESH:Can you share with us one or two of your favorite moments with the band?
The way we all meshed together after like 2 weeks of playing together I knew it was right from the get go.

AFRESH:What are your current tour plans if any?
none at this time

AFRESH:Do you have any last comments or words of advice for the listeners/viewers?
Come and see Shyner. You wont be sorry I guarantee it.

AFRESH:Tell us about your local music scene?
The local music scene has got some great original bands and venues but the cover bands with the excpetion of The Covers and a few others are not putting any effort in at all. Some of these guys are in there 40’s and still playin Cat Scratch Fever for the 9 millionth time. Cmon guys put in some effort.

AFRESH:Let’s talk ability a little about the bands equipment list. What is everyone playing and do you have endorsements?
NO endorsments yet. BUt I (MIk eOsborn) play ESP and Fender Basses and Hartke and Kustom amps. Reese Sanchez (lead/rhythm guitar) Plays Dean and Epiphone guitars through Marshall JCM’s, Jeff Keogh(lead/rhythm guitar) plays Ibanrz guitars and Peavey Ultra amps. Mike Hinecker (percussion) plays Ludwig and Yamaha Drums I think but not totally sure. And Edd Cream(lead vocals) sings through Shure equipment. We use Mackie sound with Crown power amps. It’s a great setup for what we do.

AFRESH:Different groups have unique ways of writing their songs. How do you guys ago about writing your music?
We all work on something then present it and let the others add there own parts to it.

AFRESH:Is it collective effort or is it more the efforts of one particular member of the band?
It is a collective effort from everyone in the band. We all do our parts. Bring a rough cut to the table and let everyone add there parts. Thats best way to go. Less conflict and what not.

AFRESH:How would you categorize the style of the band? And did you ever consider or try playing other styles of music than the one’s you are playing now?
Straight out rock.  I have played everything under the sun from Country to Death metal. But this band is about having fun and playing the stuff we like.

I have been playin live music for 20 years now. I see another 20 to go.

THey love it and have always supported my music. Although my soon to be former wife may disagree.

Not at all. My sister is a great singer but has always sang gospel music. I would love to do a project with her but we always have something else going on.

AFRESH:Do you have your own favorite type of music and is it any different from what you play now?
I love hard metal like Shadows Fall, Five finger death punch, just dont care for playing it or even if I could anymore.

AFRESH:Do you have other interests or talents you would like to share with us?
I have been tryin to learn piano for sometime but havent got it yet…

The feeling of being on stage and giving people what they want and seeing the reaction when that happens. I love it.

Had his first stalker and was all screwed up about it… I said get used to it man its the nature of the beast. especially with him bein the lead singer.
